Reader privacy

When you buy a book, the website saves your sign-in identifier, email address, book, price, payment status and PayPal order and capture references. These records provide access to your purchased files and help Gordon resolve payment or refund questions. PayPal processes your payment under its own terms; this website does not collect your PayPal password or card details.

For complimentary GOLD access, Gordon saves your email address and whether access is active. You must sign in using that email. Contact Gordon about these records.

When you sign in and request a book, this website saves your account identifier, name, email address, the book you requested, your request status and the dates of changes. Gordon uses these details to decide who may download each book.

Gordon can approve, decline or withdraw access. Requests are retained so that approvals work when you return. Ask Gordon directly if you would like your request records removed.

The website is hosted using OpenAI Sites. Clerk handles reader email sign-in. OpenAI handles author sign-in. These sign-in and hosting providers also process information needed to run and protect the service under their own terms. This site does not use advertising trackers.

Resend sends Gordon an email when you request a book and sends you an email when he approves you. These messages include your name, email address and book title. The website keeps a record of notification attempts to avoid duplicate emails and help resolve delivery problems. These are service messages, not marketing.

Optional newsletter

If you choose to subscribe, we save your email, your name if provided, account identifier where applicable, consent wording and date, subscription status and an unsubscribe token. Gordon can also add your name and email when you have agreed to receive the newsletter. Gordon uses these to send the monthly Book of the Month newsletter, including samples, writing news and purchase links. Buying a book or receiving GOLD membership does not subscribe you.

Resend processes newsletter emails. We retain sending records and message copies to avoid duplicate issues and investigate delivery problems. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link that works without signing in; you can also unsubscribe on the newsletter page while signed in. Unsubscribing does not change your book access. Reading copies are for your personal use. Please ask Gordon before passing a copy to someone else.
